Step 4- Setting the DNS

So far you should have registered a domain and signed up for a hosting account.

Once you’ve setup your web hosting account and paid for it,you should receive a very important email from your host.

This email will contain important information about your account and settings you will need to know to be able to make your site live on the Web.

It will have information about your site including:your user name and password,how to login to your control panel, your email and ftp settings,and your DNS settings.

We’ll get to the ftp settings in a later message. Today we’re going to take the DNS info and change the default settings at godaddy so that your site will become live and online.
